Listening Party Album of The Week #4: Watsky - Cardboard Castles [Slam Poetry] (2013)

Welcome to /r/music's weekly album discussion thread.

Every Wednesday we discuss an album nominated by the users. The album chosen will be featured on top of the page. Users can nominate albums for the next week and the highest rated comment will be the next week's AOTW. However, in order for a nomination to be valid, you must contribute a relevant and thoughtful comment to the current album discussion.

Background

Cardboard Castles is the second studio album by American spoken word artist and slam poet Watsky. The album was released on March 12, 2013.

Guidelines

This is your opportunity to be a critic. Don't just say you like the album or hate it. Mention why or how and avoid vague statements of praise or criticism. How has this album impacted music as a whole? What were it's influences? Any glaring flaws? Any remarkable traits? Be elaborate.

If you're late to the thread, don't worry. Comment sorting will be set to new so everyone has a fair opportunity to share their thoughts. Discussion throughout the week is encouraged!

For nominations, we will be discussing music across all eras, genres and regions. Unless explicitly stated that we have a theme for the following week, feel free to nominate any album you feel deserves discussion. The only restriction is that you can not nominate an album that has been discussed previously or one by an artist in the /r/music hall of fame.

DON'T FORGET TO NOMINATE AN ALBUM
